POLICE are seeking witnesses to a crash that claimed the lives of two young men in Boundary Road, Mordialloc, on Friday night.

They said a car was heading south in Boundary Road, 400 metres south of Lower Dandenong Road when it ran off the road and hit a pole about 9.40pm.

The male driver, 21, and his male passenger, 17, were killed.

The police said the car was wrapped around the pole and had to be pulled away from the pole before emergency crews could get to the bodies inside the vehicle. Police from the major collision investigation unit were called to the scene.
